My family has been going to the Miramonte Resort for special occasions for the last 5 years. This was however my first time. We held my sister's bachelorette party there and started making our plans in January. We needed to adjust some of the rooms and came across some static because it turned out that it was Coachella weekend. We had to call 4 times before we talked with someone who could change our reservations. We reserved 3 rooms and they were all in different buildings which was a little frustrating. The service was great except for pool service. It seemed that it was very confusing and our server gave us the wrong bill a few times and charged our room with drinks that weren't ours. The overall staff was fantastic though with a helpful hand every time it seemed I had a problem. Overall we had a great time and would go back, just make sure there isn't a festival the weekend you want to go. -Tracy L, from Powell, United States - 4/22/2010
Not What I Expected

This resort, and Perfect Escapes, billed The Miramonte Resort as a high-end resort. In comparison to the many 4 and 5 star resorts in which I have stayed, this property does not even come close. This resort is marketing itself as something that it is not. It is a dated, mid-range hotel. While its grounds are well manicured, nothing else seems to have been shown much attention in years. Cheap lounging chairs at the adult pool, worn out towels, decrepit door mats at each room entry, noisy (thin walls), and our bathroom was extremely small. All of this made the "discounted price" not such a good deal after all; it's about what I would expect to pay for a property like this. We were truly disappointed at our decision to go there. -James C, from San Diego, United States - 12/3/2009

Nice hotel, main pool should be the adults pool instead of the secondary pool. Hotel dining good for breakfast, dinner was just all right. Better to go out for dinner. Good service, would return again. -Carter, from Woodland Hills, United States - 10/9/2009
Don't Stay Here With Your Kids

Overall, location and the building is good for stay and golf. Unpleasant smell from the landscaping area.
When I stayed this place, there was a wedding ceremony I assume. I could hear every single step from the upper level room and rated-R noise from both sides of the room I stayed. -Sean Y, from Santa Fe Springs, United States - 10/9/2009
Nice Hotel

We enjoyed our stay at the Miramonte. The staff was friendly and accommodating including the wait staff. Our room was large and nicely appointed, however I had requested a 2nd floor room and was given a 1st. Hotel was far from full so not sure what happened. Very good food at breakfast and dinner. The mattress was soft and 2 nights was the max before our backs would have felt it. We were disappointed that the mini-bar was not stocked and the refrigerator wasn't working. Free Internet access was available, however when my wife needed to use the PC's in the business center there was a charge of $4.95 per 15 minutes which was surprising. Pool area was very nice with plenty of comfortable chairs. Somewhat surprised that the big pool was the family pool. The adult pool's chairs were far less comfortable and away from the restaurant and spa. Poolside service was good although the guests ordering alcohol were served faster than those ordering Cokes, etc. Would consider a 2nd stay. -Gary, from Oak Park, United States - 10/8/2009

Great Get-Away

We spent three nights at the Miramonte Resort and will definitely return. The location is perfect and the resort is well run and well maintained by a large staff. Very clean. The spa is on location and golf is across the road. We spent some time relaxing around the adults only pool and hot pool and enjoyed the mountain scenery and beautiful gardens while eating our breakfast on the terrace of the Casa Miramonte. There is a larger pool and hot pool for families as well. Our room was spacious and our balcony faced the mountains. We found the staff to be very helpful and pleasant. All around a great experience. Can't wait to return. -Paul, from Calgary, Canada - 11/21/2008

Miramonte exceeded my expectations in every way. I was going through a rough time and needed to relax and needed a peaceful place where I could think. The hotel provided that. The spa is the best! Very relaxing and spiritual. Rooms are very spacious, they definitely exceeded what I thought I was going to get. -Jennifer P, from Upland, United States - 10/29/2007
