Overview
Please note: Chatham Bars Inn requires a 5-night minimum stay in July and a 7-night minimum stay in August.
---- Once upon a time, affluent New Englanders spent their summers at a grand oceanfront resort. There, they splashed in the surf, played golf in the tangy sea air, took afternoon tea on the wide veranda overlooking panoramic ocean vistas, and dined on the best New England cuisine, featuring fresh-from-the ocean seafood.
Today, you can enjoy the resort lifestyle as so many did, so long ago, at Chatham Bars Inn, New England's Grand Oceanfront Resort.
Lovingly restored to its original grandeur, yet completely updated with the latest amenities, Chatham Bars Inn sits on 25 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds and sandy ocean beaches. The historic main inn has 217 luxuriously appointed guestrooms, including 68 private suites and several indulgent spa suites. For those seeking a little more seclusion, 34 charming Cape Cod-style cottages dot the spacious grounds.
The Chatham Bars Inn dining room features dishes prepared by world-class chefs, and numerous amenities and activities for young and old alike.
Chatham Bars Inn is listed on the register of the National Trust for Historic Preservation as a Historic Hotel of America, and has been named one of the top resorts in the world by Travel & Leisure Magazine, and the best hotel on Cape Cod by Boston Magazine.
Whether you're planning a family get-away or a family reunion, a wedding for 200 or a romantic get-away for two, a business meeting or a reward for business well done, consider the Chatham Bars Inn.

The hotel is beautiful, and covers a lot of property with a gorgeous ocean view. The pool is perfect for those early September days. The windscreens make it possible to enjoy the pool and spa later in the season. The grill at the beach served a delicious lunch, which was rather pricey, but excellent. The staff is friendly, and courteous; they make the stay enjoyable. It would be nice to choose which part of property you would like to stay in. However, we had a great time, and would return. -Judith, from Marcellus, United States - 9/23/2008

The staff at CBI did an exceptional job taking care of us. From check-in, to check-out, the service was the best!! The food and beverage was superb. Phil Everett was a true host, and it appears he never misses the details expected. -James Dole, from Concord, United States - 6/16/2008
Great Stay!

Our stay at Chatham Bars Inn was a wonderful respite for our honeymoon. They gave us a free upgrade to a premium room and a bottle of champagne to celebrate with. The room was classy and well appointed with possibly the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. The main Inn dining room was booked for private events every night we were there, so we never could eat there, but the tavern provided top notch food at a reasonable price. We also had high tea which was intimate and relaxing. The food was delicious and the tea exquisite. I highly recommend this inn for anyone interested in the old charm of Cape Cod. During the peak season, there are tons of things to do around the resort, but even during off season, the luxury still remains. -Seth Cook , from Alexandria, United States - 5/27/2008
Old Fashion Grandeur

It's apparently rated one of the top small hotels in the world, and I would agree! Reminiscent of old fashion grandeur and style, something you don't see anymore in these large, modern, chain luxury resorts. We stayed in a cottage on the oceanfront, absolutely beautiful view and lovely room. Plumbing was a little loud though. Staff extremely friendly and helpful, the adjacent town is cute and has nice, fun restaurants. Caveat: We stayed during off-season, so it was very quiet, relaxing, and relatively inexpensive. Highly recommend for a couple's weekend getaway, with just relaxation on the mind. -Ray, from Somerville, United States - 4/11/2008
A Little Bit of Paradise

Fitting to find a resort with such qualities on Cape Cod, in Chatham. This may be the best we have ever stayed. Even in the winter the charm of this Inn stood out. Accommodations were fantastic, very inviting. Clean, extremely well equipped and roomy. This was a perfect location to spend a Valentines weekend. Hope to return soon. -Jerry, from Easton, United States - 2/26/2008
