Overview
The site of the Parc des Eaux-Vives is historical and plays a very important role in the Geneva area. The mansion house "Plonjon" dating back to the 18th century was transformed into a luxury restaurant around 1900 before becoming public property through the acquisition by the municipality of Eaux-Vives and by the City of Geneva in 1931.
The Golden Age of the Restaurant du Parc des Eaux-Vives started in the beginning of the 1960's and drove it towards the reputation that it enjoys today as a jewel of the gastronomic scene in and around Geneva.
