Great Hotel

This hotel is the perfect alternative to the huge (often noisy) party hotels further down the beach. It is right across from the beach, a few minutes walk from the central area along Lincoln, and a truly exceptional hotel. The restaurant downstairs is fabulous, the brand new rooftop just opened, the rooms are spectacular (right down to the book selection on the in-room bookshelf, the TV in the bathroom mirror, fresh fruit bowl, and take-home bookmark that doubles as a flower packet you can plant when you get home!), and the staff was always super-friendly. I honestly can't think of a single downside to this hotel (unless you expect that all the rooms face the ocean, which obviously they don't).

The Betsy Hotel...You're Not Just a Number

The room we stayed in (overlooked the pool) was not spacious, but very clean, modern and in excellent condition (we only used the room to shower and sleep. The rest of the time were out on the beach or exploring the area). They only serve a continental style breakfast in AM. No coffee in the room and had to either call room service for ice or go down to the bar. The food, hotel and beach service was excellent. Since it is small in the number of rooms, the staff quickly knew your name and treated you like family. Only a short walk to the beach. It is centrally located in South Beach. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. The only problem we had was with booking thru Perfect Escapes. The hotel did not have our reservation, even though we had an e-mail confirming the reservation. The hotel also did not know that I had a late check out [on availability], again it was on the e-mail confirmation. The hotel did honor our reservation, and even upgraded our room for the inconvenience.

The rooms were very clean & pleasant, a bit small but overall very nice. The service was excellent. All employees were very courteous & most helpful & accommodating. The food prices, especially the coffee, were too high. Guests should have been offered complimentary coffee.

Hotel was fabulous, when I got to the hotel, they had no record of my reservation. Thank God they were not sold out and they were able to accommodate me with a room.
