I was disappointed. I stayed at one of the Palace Resorts, Sun Palace a few years ago. I went to Cancun Palace, and Moon Palace. This hotel is beautiful but it lacks the service of the other three above hotels. The bed at Riu was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. We had to ask for a pad, but it was still unbearable. The room was awesome, but it was only cleaned once a day as compared to every time we left the room at Sun palace. The mini bar and liquor dispenser was well stocked. The food however was not the best. The milk was warm, the bread and pastry was uneatable: Stale and needed to be thrown out. The 24 hour room service, uneatable, horrible. The buffet was OK, you will not starve but not that of above mentioned hotels. The five restaurants, well you could hardly get in and had dress code and long lines to make reservations to be told they were booked. We did eat at steakhouse again, just OK food. Could not get into the others. Pool always dirty.
