Close to beach, cozy environment, modern style room, and most of all, friendly crews! I was so impressed with the excellent service even after check-out. I will definitely stay at Hotel Renew if I visit Hawaii again.

Great Location

A very nice hotel for the price. Breakfast included was good and the free WiFi was a bonus. We were very impressed by the location of the hotel. We had a straight on view of the ocean on the top 9th floor with a window that opened. Both hotels beside us including the Marriott had side views. It is on the trolley line that makes getting around Honolulu and beyond convenient. Wolfgang Pucks Cafe is next door with excellent take-out or eat in meals. The Sensai Restaurant next door at the Marriott has a sensational view of the sunset and the food was spectacular. Very happy with the hotel and would highly recommend it and also stay there again. -Diane Darling , from Leesburg, United States - 2/9/2010

We loved the Asian-inspired decor at Hotel Renew. It made it a pleasure to return to our hotel room each day.
The staff were fabulous, always cheerful and very helpful with inquiries about where to go and how to get there. I will be telling all my friends about this place. -Mindy, from Rosebud, Australia - 2/7/2010

Loved It
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
The minute I arrived the staff couldn't be friendlier and more helpful. The design is great in the lobby, loved the peaceful water feature and the common meeting area with the games available. It is a small hotel in a great location, the size makes you feel like a valued guest. The rooms are very well designed and very comfortable. I have found my Hawaiian beach house! -Michael, from Brisbane, Australia - 10/21/2009

Staff was very friendly! No pool- perhaps see if they can share with pool in hotel next door. Mandatory valet parking gets expensive. Rooms were clean but very small. -Debbie, from Kelowna, Canada - 9/24/2009
Excellent Service and Great Location

Hotel hospitality was excellent. Location was very close to beach and all of Waikiki goodies. This was our honeymoon and we loved every moment of it. The welcome champagne, note, wet towels and pineapple juice was a plus. The hotel staff is simply one of the best I've seen. We'll definitely be back again! -Olufemi Akinkuowo , from Washington, United States - 9/17/2009

Great service, real comfortable bed, room was very oriented to relax, can't smoke on your balcony, great location to beach & public transportation...some noise from delivery trucks @ neighboring hotels. Could stay there again for the price, convenience & it was so comfy. -Alice Hampton , from Orlando, United States - 7/29/2009

Nice location. And the furniture are all modern designed.
But, the building itself is a little bit old and small. -Yukimasa Morisaki , from SETAGAYAKU, Japan - 6/23/2009

The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They were all very friendly & nice. The room was a bit small but not too bad. The things I didn't like were, the cleanliness of the room (everywhere there was hair, especially on the new towels), the projector type T.V. which overheats in 5 min. & couldn't watch at all & the thick comforter(it was too hot to use since I don't like to sleep with the a/c on). Also the continental breakfast was same everyday & didn't want to eat after 2 days of stay. -Satoko Mitani , from Tarumi, Kobe, Japan - 6/18/2009
Nice Place...

I enjoyed the luxurious boutique feel, the room was great especially the bed. The design of the place was terrific and the complimentary wireless internet was an added bonus. Didn't get a chance to partake in the breakfast or check out the bar but I would definitely stay there again... -Edward Blocker , from san diego, United States - 6/15/2009
Great Little Boutique Hotel in a Great Location
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
We stayed at Hotel Renew for part of our honeymoon. We had 5 days in Waikiki after spending 6 days on Maui. We found Hotel Renew to be the perfect choice - the price is reasonable, its only half a block from the beach and the rooms are very stylish/well equipped. The hotel is fairly basic (i.e. no pool, tennis court, restaurant and a very small bar that doubles as a breakfast room for the free continental breakfast), but its all you really need in Waikiki (unless you're after a flashy resort). The staff are also very friendly and helpful.
Would definitely stay here again! -Brett Gleeson , from Mermaid Beach, Australia - 6/14/2009
Good Deal
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
After comparing with other hotels we found that Hotel Renew was the best value for the money. The room was very nice. Comfortable bed, good air conditioning. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to stay close to the beach, but still get a good deal. My only complaint is that we were told that by booking through Perfect Escapes, we would automatically receive a free room upgrade if it was available. When I talked with the front desk upon arrival, they had a room available, but weren't willing to give it to me without charging me a fee. Nevertheless I would still recommend the hotel because it was a very good deal. -Steven, from Sandy, United States - 5/28/2009
Great Service, Nice Room, Horrible Shuttle Contact
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Overall we really enjoyed the fantastic service this hotel offered and it was a nice quaint environment. The shuttle service they used not only charged more than others but also arrived late all 3 times we used it one of which was to go the the airport. On a worse note, the shuttle was filled with Pearl Harbor visitors and then us going to the airport. Because they were late and we had a flight to catch they all had to go to the airport first. I did give the feedback around the shuttle both for cost and timeliness and they still used them days later. Otherwise the location is great for a couple. With kids I would stay at a larger resort. -Mary Yakas , from Concord, United States - 5/26/2009
Small, Quiet, Relaxing...Just What We Wanted
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
The valet/bell hop was extremely friendly. There were 2 different guys during our stay and both offered directions and suggestions that were great. We loved the simple yet modern decor. Our view of the ocean was half blocked by the monstrous hotel next door. We were on the 3rd floor and the rooftop storage of the neighboring hotel was the first thing we saw out of the window, and the 5th floor is where the ice machine is located so if possible request a room on the 6th floor or higher. We never waited long for the elevator, breakfast had a small but yummy selection and the same woman served breakfast everyday, don't remember her name but she told us about great places to eat and see that are popular among locals. Also, there is a recycle bin in every room. Only gripe is that we were required to park valet at $22 a day and that we were told that through Perfect Escapes we could check out at 4pm [on availability], but the day of check out we were told we had to be out by 2 because th -Stephanie Gonzalez , from san antonio, United States - 5/24/2009

Warm and Cool in Paradise
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Picked hotel for value- 2 double beds, ocean view, 1/2 block to beach, continental breakfast, happy hour, free internet and local calls. Was able to get early check in and 2 pm check out. All staff friendly/helpful. Bartenders fun and great resource for eateries/clubs. Clean and well maintained. Room with ocean view over adjacent hotel's pool, which has activities and music from 7:30am - 12:00 some nights and sound came through windows. Rooms on the small side, but adequate; fun light controls for whole room at bedside. Would stay again.
On east side of Waikiki, next to Marriott, close to public bus and a Starbucks with NO rest room. ALL this for under $200. -Irene, from alta loma, United States - 5/12/2009

An amazingly nice small hotel just off Waikiki Beach. Surprisingly quiet. Near public bus line. Comfortable bed and pillows. Price includes very adequate breakfast- fresh fruits, yogurts, pastries, cereal, coffee and tea. Staff very friendly and accommodating. If ever I wanted to go to Waikiki again, I would certainly book at this hotel. -Katharine, from VASHON, United States - 4/10/2009
Fair Price for the Location
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Hotel Renew is only a short walk to the beach, the shops and restaurants along the main drag of Waikiki. The bedding was nice and the room comfy, but small. The Tiki Bar which has live music nightly was just across from our room, so a bit noisy in the evening. The breakfast area is too small and we usually ended up perched on the sofa in the lobby. The pineapple was overripe and the other fruit was tasteless. Better to get breakfast elsewhere. -Cynthia Cottrell , from Dallas, United States - 3/18/2009

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Renew. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are tastefully decorated; the bed was quite comfy with luxurious linens; also enjoyed the large LCD TV's. Great Location
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Hotel Renew is a very nice hotel with comfortable beds and beautiful views. The staff were extremely cordial and there was a nice continental breakfast in the mornings. The valet parking was a little steep ($20/day) but better than having to find street parking in Waikiki. The hotel is within walking distance to anything in Waikiki Beach but doesn't have a pool which is a shame. Overall a great place to stay. -Mary, from Surprise, United States - 3/1/2009

I was passing through Hawaii on my way back to Canada from New Zealand & decided to spend my 48 hours at Hotel Renew. The room was large & comfortable - very chic! The service was friendly and the staff helped me book an amazing dinner at Twist restaurant overlooking Waikiki.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for anybody wanting a little piece of paradise in paradise. -Steve Arnold , from Thornhill, Canada - 2/12/2009
Hotel Renew

We loved the look and atmosphere of Hotel Renew. The staff was super friendly and prepared for guests. The hotel was immaculate and very stylish. My only complaint was that the hotel did not have its own access to the beach or its own pool area. You had to use public access beaches and public showers to rinse off after a day in the sand. -Brad Maruca , from Fairview, United States - 2/9/2009
