We stayed here twice, in October/early November '08. The hotel is centrally located (half a block from shops on pedestrianized Florida St.), on a busy street. Despite having rooms facing the street, noise and security were not a problem.
Though described as
'superior executive', our rooms both times were smallish and clothes hanging space was very limited the second time. The beds are comfortable and the small bathrooms well appointed. We appreciated the hotel's character and the fine wooden paneling in the cosy, British style bar and dining room, as well as the hotel's commitment to security.
Breakfast is a self service buffet, well presented, with good choices. Smoked salmon and champagne appeared a few mornings. However coffee and tea service at breakfast and in the bar can be slow.
Staff at the front and concierge desks were very efficient, helpful and friendly in our experience, but not sure how well they cope when tour groups arrive.
Probably 4 star...
