Great Room
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
I traveled with my elderly parents and my 10yold boy, so having a private room with a sofa bed in a different room was great. The kitchen was small but so useful! staff very courteous. I had requested a late check out 4pm, and to my surprise it was honored, but then I had to get out of the room. However when I called Perfect Escapes they were able to get me a 2pm check out, which was better than the 12.
I would recommend this hotel if you travel with family and like large spaces. -Gladys Maestre , from Valley Cottage, United States - 10/31/2008

Almost Perfect

The room was perfect: spacious, clean and with a nice view from the 22nd floor.
The only thing missing, was the advertised pillow menu which was not available to the fullest satisfaction.
But still a wonderful hotel and first choice to stay in NYC. -Michael Freidank , from Munich, Germany - 10/17/2008
Location, Staff Recommendations & Assistance - All

Friendly & knowledgeable staff with wonderful 'where to eat' & more recommendations proved all to be exceptional once tried. We appreciated the 'suite style' room set-up and numerous little extras - eg. 'select your pillow', prompt & courteous hotel service, early check-in etc. In addition, a couple of challenging situations (a canceled flight requiring an additional night's stay) were ultimately graciously assisted in resolution by several professional, friendly and courteous staff.
Having visited NYC on a few occasions, this is a property we will definitely return to and look forward to it!

Great Hotel, Good Location, Needs a Little Improve
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
This is a good hotel in a good location. Stayed in a studio suite for 4 days and the room was large, clean, well equipped and the staff very friendly. A little expensive (although isn't everything in NYC)! A great gym and use of the sauna in the sap in a nice touch. My only comments for improvement would be as follows: Check in - problematic. Was checked in, only to be given the key for an occupied room. When we did eventually get an unoccupied room we were disturbed approx. 3 times in the 1st 30 mins by various staff wanting to check the room (which was frustrating as we were napping after a long haul flight). On the 4th knock we asked the person to come back later to be told 'I haven't checked the mini bar so if you get charged it's not my fault' - hardly professional (plus this should have been carried out BEFORE we were checked in)! So I would say there are a few areas for improvement. But on the whole very good.
