The hotel was not new, actually a bit outdated! The beach front balconies in the middle are not at all private...you can see and hear neighbors on both sides of you, the first floor goes into pool area not beach! The drinks were overpriced and under poured at the tiki bar. Bring a small cooler! Umbrella and 2 chairs are $30 a day(8am-5pm only)for the beach. These are sold by a vendor, I feel the hotel should provide with out cost! Bring your own if possible. Otherwise a nice hotel.

We had such a relaxing time...enjoyed the beautiful pool area, jogging on the beach and lounging in the room.

Directions:
Daytona Beach International Airport:
From airport exit, turn right onto Midway Avenue. Turn right on US-92 (E/W International Speedway Blvd.) and follow it east to South Beach Street. Turn right onto South Beach Street and then turn left onto East Orange Ave (CR-4050). Turn right onto South Atlantic Avenue (FL-A1A) and head south for approximately two miles, The Shores Resort & Spa will be on the left.
Orlando International Airport:
Turn left onto Airport Exit, which becomes Airport Boulevard East. Take the SR-528 Toll East ramp toward Cocoa/Kennedy Center. Merge onto the Bee Line / FL-526 East (this is a toll road). Merge onto I-95 North and follow to Exit #256 (SR-421). Merge on SR-421 toward Port Orange/Daytona Beach Shores and follow to Atlantic Avenue (SR-A1A). Turn left onto Atlantic Avenue and head north for approximately three miles, The Shores Resort & Spa will be on the right.
