Overview
The Palacio del Bailío is inlaid in Cordoba's historical heart and it esemerges as an inspiring balance between the past and the present: thus, nowadays its stables, coach houses, straw lofts, granaries, Roman remains, valuable original paintings and splendid garden represent a careful equilibrium between design, history, harmony, space and light.
The Palace, mainly built between the XVI and XVIII centuries, was originally one of the large properties in the allotment of Cordoba after the Reconquest and was declared Bien de Interés Cultural (Well of Cultural Interest) in the Monument category in 1982.

A beautiful building, brilliantly redecorated, in a charming city. The staff was excellent - most friendly and helpful - and the room design is superb and extremely comfortable.
It is somewhat hard to find among the maze of streets in the old town. Perhaps a REALLY detailed map could be provided on the web-site.
We shall certainly look for the Hospes brand again.

From San Pablo Airport:
When leaving the airport, take the A4, in the direction of Madrid. Take the “Cordoba” exit and follow signs for “Centro Ciudad” (City Centre).
Transportation:
Hospes Palacio del Bailio Hotel Cordoba is located in the beautiful little maze of streets that loop and fold between the University buiding and Plaza de Colon. Getting there by car is fairly difficult and we recommend dropping the car in one of the public parking areas and taking a taxi.
By Train:
Cordoba is very well connected to Seville, Madrid and Malaga with choices of super-fast and regular trains.
