The Extra Mile Is Missing
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Very elegant hotel, high standard, the staff could be a little bit more enthusiastic about caring for guest. The extra mile, a little smile would be fine. One more word: Our booking through this agency included breakfast. We did only get a breakfast voucher for a special amount and had to pay for the difference to the bill. That was somehow surprising. -Doris Brenner , from Roedermark, Germany - 10/30/2009
Mold in Bathroom Tub
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
When we arrived the property was very nice and so was the staff. The parking garage was very small with limited parking which the hotel automatically charges $10.00 for overnight parking. We had a room with a fireplace. The idea sounded nice but in such a small space the room filled with smoke which gave me a headache. The bathroom also had mold in the grout and the tub plug was broken. We asked the hotel to fix the tub and mold and was promised it would be taken care of. It never was and we were never compensated for this. If there is mold what else do they neglect to clean. -Nadine Martinez , from Tucson, United States - 10/19/2009
Great Price and Great Place
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
A great hotel for the price and the brunch was in fact, the best we've had. I had to ask for the breakfast vouchers. -Lananh Huynh , from Tustin, United States - 9/13/2009
Very Nice!

Even though the hotel is right next to the freeway, we heard only the fountain in the courtyard. The windows open, so the air in the room is fresh. Bedding was top of the line. Nice touch to have book stand with about 50 books that were fun to peruse. We will definitely return. -Lothar Kneifel , from Oro Valley, United States - 7/20/2009
Lafayette Park Hotel and Spa- Fabulous
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Some would say it's expensive...but we're talking the Bay Area here! The hotel was clean, extremely modern but with classic over tones. Check in was simple although the check in girl did have problems with my Aussie accent!
We stayed in a Fire Place room, and although it wasn't cold while we were there, we cranked the A/C down and lit the real fire. It was brilliant.
I can't comment on the food, as we didn't eat in the hotel however breakfast in the library looked fabulous! Lafayette is a great town to visit, easy BART access to San Francisco and great al fresco places to eat. Well worth going!

Very Nice

The hotel is beautiful. We were only there for one night following our wedding so we didn't have a chance to fully explore. -Brett Changus , from San Francisco, United States - 10/12/2008
Lafayette Park Hotel & Spa
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
An excellent hotel. As a frequent business traveler I enjoyed staying at this hotel.
The only negative was that I am not used to paying for parking or high speed internet service. As most hotels include these features for their corporate business customers, at no additional charge.
Other than that, it was a very nice overnight stay. -Ray, from Roseville, United States - 3/3/2008
Great Stay

We had a great stay. We were in and out and thus could not take advantage of some of the amenities. They initially gave us the wrong room (without vaulted ceilings) and promptly changed the room for us. We appreciated that gesture. -Heather, from Tacoma, United States - 1/19/2008
