As Good As It Gets

If you aren't easily impressed, prepare yourself. This hotel sets an impressive standard. As an architect I was impressed with the design by SOM, and the interiors showed an attention to detail almost unparalleled in the world. The Westin Shanghai is the only other hotel I know has such gorgeous rooms, bathrooms, and public spaces. It's a great place to stay, well located on the river, and the staff is very attentive. You can walk most anything from here, plus the metro is only 2 blocks away. The "kitchenette" is superior to anything one could reasonably expect. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying a stay at this hotel. The restaurant "16" is very nice, as is the adjacent outdoor patio. We did not use the spa or exercise facilities.

Great Weekend Getaway

My husband and I stayed at the Trump hotel for the weekend. Our experience was great, at check in they give you cold towels to freshen up with. We made our way to our room(elevators were slow and packed) and were very happy to see how big it was with views to match. We had a small kitchenette complete with fridge, dishwasher and cook top. Also loved the coffee maker. The bed, Awesome! The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Even the pillows were great, which they had a pillow menu too. Bathroom was top notch loved the TV in the mirror. Shower was big, maintained pressure and temperature. You don't always get that. Visited their bar - Rebar, nice views of the river. Drinks were pretty good, pricey. We ordered room service for breakfast and it was so good. I'd stay here again just for that. And although they were almost full it was very quiet, never heard anyone in the hall. Needless to say we really enjoyed our stay and would go back in a heartbeat.

The O'Hare CTA Blue Line station is located on the lowest level of the parking garage in the main terminal area. Follow the signs for Terminal 1,2 or 3. Journey time from O'Hare to downtown is around 45 minutes. At Jackson Station, switch to Red Line going north. Exit at Grand Station and walk east on Grand Avenue; turn right on Wabash, hotel will be on the left side.
Midway Airport is connected to downtown Chicago by the CTA Orange Line. Tickets can be purchased at the Midway Orange Line station, which is conveniently located near teh airport right across Cicero Avenue. The orange Lien makes stops throughout southwest Chicago and travels right into the Loop. Exit at Lake and walk one block east to Wabash; make a left and walk north on Wabash. After crossing the bridge, the hotel will be on the right side.
