Overview
The Empire Hotel occupies its own private corner nestled between two New York City legendary landmarks – Lincoln Center and Central Park. Located on West 63rd Street directly across the street from the lush greenery of Dante Park, The Empire Hotel provides unobstructed views of the Broadway/Columbus Avenue gateway to the upper west side.
With 413 guest rooms, The Empire Hotel embodies a return to the classic hotel room but with an edge. Inspired by local surroundings, the rooms pay tribute to Central Park with a rich earth tone palette accented by leather furnishings combined with the modernism of Lincoln Center.

Would stay again, construction in the area but the value was good for the area. -Beth, from La Grange, United States - 11/12/2009
Nicely Done

This hotel is well located and nicely turned out for a short stay in the big apple. It needed to have a bigger room and bath to warrant more than a two to three day stay but was very nice for our purposes. Great beds. -Benjamin, from ridgefield, United States - 11/4/2009
Empire Hotel Great Location

Experienced very good service from all staff encountered. Clean rooms, although not large. Small bathroom with interesting shower and sink. Perfect Escapes came through with upgraded room, early check-in and late check-out. Great location near Lincoln Center and shops & restaurants on Columbus & Amsterdam. Rooftop bar was awesome! -Bonita Lepene , from Boca Raton, United States - 11/4/2009

Cleanliness

Room was sub par as for cleanliness-didn't get cleaned at all on one of the days. An unknown person had a key and entered the room. This was reported to the manager. -Nancy Bronska , from St. Louis, United States - 10/14/2009

I enjoyed the hotel and the service and had no problems at all and would return. The bar and reception was a bit too noisy - limited space.

My Stay

I was disappointed this trip. I was not given the room I was guaranteed. But, they did give us breakfast for one of the mornings to compensate. Also, the room was very dark. They no longer have the cookies on the bed in the evening. -Dana Fink, from Norfolk, United States - 9/11/2009
Good Hotel Stay
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
We had a king size bedroom, which was quite large. Bathroom was not too small like lot of hotels in NYC. Room was nice and there is a (small) pool on the roof (we didn't used it). Nice hotel to stay, maybe a bit too "trendy" for me. Reception could be better... -Pascal, from Paris, France - 7/21/2009
Empire Hotel

We had a wonderful stay at The Empire. We upgraded to a higher end deluxe room which gave us more space. The bathroom though was very small with no place to put anything. They were very generous with the towels. Loved the end of the day cookies. The concierge was useless but, the rest of the staff was very nice. We had a very enjoyable stay. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Awesome location. -Dana Fink , from norfolk, United States - 7/20/2009
Very Comfortable and Pleasant

Empire Hotel

Great location, good room, all fine except for sheets - they were clearly washed but had stains (blood or some other dark color) that had not come out!! I was shocked the maid put them on the bed since they were so clearly stained. Front desk apologized but made no attempt to make it right, e.g. discount on the room. I would stay there again but would definitely check the room before unpacking. -Mark Leuchtenberger , from Newton, United States - 6/1/2009
Great Hip, Modern, Hotel
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Hotel was very hip and modern. Perfect location for all things in NY... The only problem I had was we were not able to go up to the roof bar. I thought as a guest all you had to do was show your hotel room key. We showed our key and where told to go to the end of the line. But the hotel itself is great. The rooms are very modern. I would definitely stay there again. -Michael Cronin , from Yonkers, United States - 5/21/2009

Perfect Location - Next to Central Park and Close
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Walking distance to Central Park and Times Square. 2 subway stops very close to hotel. We never made it to the roof top bar due to the line that went around the front of the hotel. It is very popular. The only problem we had was that the power to our room was out when we returned one evening, The front desk had it back on in less than 5 minutes. I'm an electrician and these things do happen sometimes. So other than that, as long as the prices stay close to the same, I would definitely stay here again. You couldn't get a better location and updated hotel without paying twice as much. -Thomas, from Leander, United States - 5/1/2009
Weekend at the Empire

Room was quite nice and we received upgrade. Missing amenities and polish
on service. Our room was missing knobs for a/c control and TV remote.
There were no linens for the pullout sofa and it took an hour to get them.
Great location. I didn't see any information in room as to services
offered by hotel. -Mary Ellen, from Wynnewood, United States - 10/11/2008
