The Gansevoort South was an extremely pleasurable experience!! Everyone from the doorman, front desk, and other hotel employees were very friendly and accommodating. Their attention to detail in comfort is unmeasurable...the guest beds by far are the best! It is like sleeping in a huggable cloud. I will always stay at the Gansevoort South when visiting Miami. -Regina Washington, from Silver Springs , United States - 10/9/2008

We stayed 6 nights in this hotel ("Grand King City View Room")- it is a nice and stylish hotel and the rooms are very well equipped (and roomy - at least the "grand king city view rooms..)
We had "sunset-view" - which means that your room is facing "Collins Avenue" (very busy - fri, sat, sun (nights) - better go for higher floors if you want to use your balcony. Even the view from lower levels is "limited".
The famous "David Barton-Gym and Spa" was not open (July 2008). Beach Service is "very limited".
Staff was friendly and rooftop pool is a "must". A lot of construction going on in the hotel. Valet parking is about $38 per day. If you get a good rate, you can stay there...

Fabulous New Hotel!

I am so glad that I chose to sty at the Gansevoort South. I had researched many boutique hotels and was frustrated by the negative reviews at every hotel. Because the Gansevoort is so new, I had confidence that it would be clean and fresh. It is extremely clean, well appointed, comfortable, definitely trendy, and the rooms are huge. I was in a deluxe king suite with balcony, which consisted of two huge rooms, 1 huge bathroom, and 1 powder room. The bathroom had the greatest shower I have ever seen. You will have to see it to understand.... Also, the staff was super-friendly. They were not at all snobby. Although the Gansevoort is trendy, you can have a very quiet stay there. I heard no noise at all in my room, despite parties on the roof. The pools and beach are spectacular. The location is perfect. It is within walking distance of most SoBe attractions, though is is a longer walk than many hotels. The restaurant Phillipe was good, but very pricey and trendy. -Lauren, from Ashburn, United States - 7/19/2008
