We enjoyed our stay for the most part. Cool decor, cozy room, and great value for a boutique hotel. The biggest downfalls were the pricey/slow valet, room size (small- esp. for a family of 4!) and the restaurant. We suggest you look for street parking! It was easy to find and it saved us a bundle. (Be sure to check your bill - we were still charged for valet, which was not so good!) We had one meal at the restaurant that was "meh". Not bad, not great. Overall, the location is super close to Beverly Hills and the freeways. We'd definitely consider staying here again. -G, from Las Vegas, United States - 3/28/2011

....in every aspect, from the car 'managers' to the chocolate chips for the excellent hot chocolate. Our entire stay was a pleasure we hope to repeat soon. -Michael C, from San Francisco, United States - 2/17/2010
A Great Westside Option

So glad to finally have a Kimpton in L.A.! The building's been lovingly refurbished -- the room furniture is especially nice. The restaurant is beautiful, but the food is just so-so, and very expensive for what you get (especially breakfast). My one complaint is that the pool area is very very small and (at least during our stay) was overrun by teenagers. Valet service was very prompt; front desk seemed overwhelmed at check-out time.
In case you're curious, the views from the south side of the hotel (where the premium-rate rooms are located) are dramatically nicer than the ones facing Wilshire. View rooms overlook the Mediterranean rooftops of West L.A. and the striking Mormon temple. -Anita, from San Francisco, United States - 8/6/2008
