Just Missed That Extra

Recently stayed at the Icon for three nights. Junior suite. Beautiful room, big bathroom. One thing that was disappointing was the old type TV set. Not a flatscreen but the old big thing. I think you cannot come up with that anymore in a luxury hotel that was recently refurbished. Same thing about DVD player: there was no such thing.
The air co. was rather noisy.
Style of the hotel was wonderful, specially the bar/breakfast room. Personnel was good and adequate, though not that "classy" as you might expect from this hotel.
In the end: I would go back to the hotel on another visit to Houston, but with even more pleasure if the rooms would be equipped more like the 21st century....

NO Sunday newspaper, room looked like a old house, will not stay there again, nor recommend it to anyone!

Great Hotel

The character of the old bank was charming. The desk and parking attendants were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were well decorated and the bathroom was very nice. Only trick is to push hot tub button very quickly to activate jets or it wouldn't turn on.

Beautifully furnished, large room; excellent service, as always. Room service and valet service were always prompt, and service was always courteous and friendly. The Hotel Icon will be our only hotel in Houston.
