Overview
Offering a relaxed approach to the wine country experience, the 89-room property is the first full-service resort in the valley. Embodying the sun-drenched California lifestyle, Solage offers a warm, yet sophisticated, style of hospitality within a contemporary, design-focused culture.
Designed by renowned local architect Howard Backen, the resort's architecture interprets Napa's rural heritage with a stylish twist described as "San Francisco loft meets Napa Valley barn." Interiors are designed by San Francisco firm Dowling Kimm Studios, a team acclaimed for their work for Banana Republic, and a number of hotels and spas.
The resort features SolBar, a bar and casual restaurant opening onto large outdoor terraces, fire pits, bocce courts and views of the Palisades Mountains. Stretching across the lawn is a 130-foot pool surrounded by cabanas and lounges. Complimentary "cruiser" bikes are available for guests to take a spin through the 25-acre property or into nearby Calistoga to browse through its charming shops and attractions.
The heart of the resort, Spa Solage, offers a tongue-in-cheek ode to Calistoga's origin as a frontier spa destination, with a clever lineup of experiences such as the "Mud Bar," where guests will rest on marble slabs while being painted with nutrient-rich local volcanic mud. For those guests feeling a little less adventurous, 14 treatment rooms host a variety of massages and body treatments.
Environmental sustainability is also a major effort at Solage Calistoga. Various initiatives, such as landscape preservation, water and lighting conservation and a "Green Team" made up of employees focusing on environmental programs are integral to the resort.

We spent a very relaxing romantic weekend at the Solage. The villas are spacious & very comfortable, the spa services is great. Only thing is there is no hot tub for couples. -Dave Hansen , from cupertino, United States - 12/10/2009
Relaxing Resort

We just got back from our stay at Solage and it was amazing. One of the best features is the ability to have your own bungalow. The resort was relaxing with state of the art room amenities. The restaurant served us breakfast both mornings and you can order fresh donuts cooked to order! We would highly recommend the resort and would stay there again. Worth the money. -Judy Mclaughlin , from Corte Madera, United States - 4/2/2009
Pretty, but Disappointing
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
The property was beautiful. The last night the fireplace didn't work and the second day housekeeping didn't service the room until we requested turndown service. The concierge was well-meaning, but limited. Meets your standard as a beautiful property but management still lacking in sophistication. -Alberta Nassi, from Sacramento, United States - 10/6/2008
