The bed was divine! -Thomas Harris, from Ft. Worth, United States |

Overview
Fortune, flamboyance and fame came together in 1912 to produce the grande dame of Dallas hotels. The founder of the Adolphus, Missouri beer baron Adolphus Busch chose to honor his adopted city with 23 stories of unabashed baroque splendor. Critics have called this Texas landmark “the most beautiful building west of Venice”. Today, flaunting its historic finery, the Adolphus shines with $80 million worth of renovations and enhancements.
The Adolphus -- downtown Dallas’ only AAA Four Diamond hotel -- holds virtually every architectural and interior design award, as well as hospitality recognitions across the hotel industry. The award-winning French Room serves classic French cuisine adapted to contemporary American tastes in a setting that the New York Times describes as “a Louis XV fantasy on the prairie”. Indisputably the most striking and scrumptious restaurant in Dallas.

The TV's are old, one portable phone did not work, the wood trim throughout the hotel needs touching up. Our city view room was looking at a brick wall on the sixth floor. -Timothy, from Leawood, United States - 10/29/2009

The staff was wonderful and helpful. The hotel is gorgeous inside and out, you feel like you have stepped in the past, the way hotels used to be. They are a luxury hotel. The room was spacious and beautiful. The bed was divine! It is in a perfect location, with everything walking distance. I look forward to staying at the hotel again very soon. -Thomas Harris, from Ft. Worth, United States - 10/5/2009

I booked with Perfect Escapes because of the opportunity of a free upgrade on the room, late check out and early check in. Only some of the perks were available. I can say, the staff was very friendly but the room was not as spectacular as I'd hoped. -N, from Fort Worth, United States - 5/21/2009
