Advanced technology has also ensured a completely controlled environment: fully soundproofed rooms, adjustable lighting calibrated to complement natural light and advanced climate self control and ventilation. Bathrooms are furnished with pale, grey-veined marble and have discreet, recessed lighting, deep sunken tubs and separate glass-walled shower cabinets.

No Acropolis View

I booked a trip to Greece to propose to my fiance. The main reason I booked the King George was because of the excellent reviews and purported fabulous acropolis view. I paid for a suite at over $300 per night. As for the view, the rooftop restaurant was booked for a wedding the entire evening forcing us to go next door to the Grand Bretagne for our acropolis view. The room was quite small for a "suite" and had no view. A final note - we were offered complimentary breakfast upon arrival. At checkout we were charged 70 Euros for this standard buffet breakfast. After staying as some truly fabulous hotels in Santorini and Mykonos, I was completely underwhelmed by this inappropriately rated 5-star hotel.

Loved the King George!!!

This is a wonderful and luxurious hotel! The staff is very down-to-earth, though, which makes it a great experience. There was a bottle of red wine waiting for us in our room, we have a view with balcony of Sytagma Square. Staff also brought little cakes daily for snacks! We went to the affiliated health club a few steps away from the hotel and I participated in a spinning class. What a great health club! It put American health clubs to shame. All in all, a wonderful time.
