In 1886, The Monte-Carlo Hotel Company LTD” purchased the land of the Spelugues Plateau, land which once belonged to Pope Leon XIII. The Hotel Metropole, situated in the heart of Monaco, was constructed in the Belle Epoque Style. The hotel soon became the point of reference for travelers desiring the best in luxury and comfort.
