One Bad Apple

The hotel would have gotten high marks, but there was a spoiler that overwhelmed everything else during our stay. One of the attendants at the Concierge desk (tall, thin) had a remarkably bad attitude towards the guests, CONSISTENTLY. I think he is confused: He is not staying at a 5-star hotel. He is working at a 5-star hotel. The hotel business is about hospitality, and this was the most extreme case of lack thereof.

Not the Warmth of the Ritz Hotel Paris

Doorman was friendly. Other than that, the staff were not welcoming or helpful to any of the 7 people on our trip. I felt that our young people particularly were not treated well and that made our stay unpleasant. FYI the young people in question all have international diplomatic status, of their own account, and know how to behave in the best of situations.
