Our Stay At La Playa

The only real issues that I have is that I was supposed to have wireless internet in the room, but when I tried to log in I didn't have it so I called down to the front desk, the girl came up and discovered that the Router had been taken out of the room (out from under the desk) and never replaced and then she just said, "I'm sorry, have a good night!" So then I wasn't able to tie up the loose ends with work that I needed to before the weekend was over so that was hanging over my head during the rest of my holiday weekend. Then I was told that there would be a $100.00 hold on my debit card and that the hold would be released on Monday, but come Tuesday, there were holds in the amounts of $101.00 and $200.00 on my debit card so I had to take time out to call the hotel and then my bank and do a 3-way call to have the holds released. I was NOT happy about these things. I told the restaurant that I had the "Breakfast Pkg" and they still tried to charge me $60.00 instead of $20.00.

This hotel is fabulous, especially the view of the ocean from the bathtub. Beautiful landscaping and decor of rooms.

We enjoyed our stay. Loved the beach view from the balcony.
Two minor problems:
The tube was not draining, we called and they repaired it, but they didn't send housekeeping to clean it afterwards.
They also took our things from the refrigerator without notice.

Directions:
- From Naples Airport.
Exit the airport to traffic light. Turn left heading south onto Airport-Pulling Road. Follow Airport-Pulling Road to Vanderbilt Beach Road, approx. 6-7 miles. Turn left onto Vanderbilt Beach Road and follow it to the end. Turn right at the stop sign onto Gulf Shore Drive. LaPlaya Beach Resort will be about a 1/4 mile down on the left side.
- From Ft. Myers Intl Airport.
Exit the airport to I-75. Proceed south on I-75 to exit 111. Turn right off the interstate onto Immokalee Road and head west. You will be on this road for approximately 5 miles. Cross Us-41. the road will change names to 111th and then to Bluebill. Turn left at the second stop sign on to Gulf Shore Drive. LaPlaya Beach Resort will be about 1/2 mile down on the right side.
- From Miami/Fort Lauderdale/Boca Raton.
Continue north on I-75 to exit 111. Turn left off the interstate onto Immokalee Road and head west. You will be on this road for approximately 5 miles. Cross Us-41.
