- From Edinburgh Airport (EDI):
Take A90 over the Forth Road Bridge (toll £1.00 for cars) on to the M90.
At junction 8 take the A91 towards St Andrews.
Follow A91 to St Andrews.
At St Andrews at the 1st roundabout take 2nd exit for town centre.
At next roundabout take 1st exit onto North Street.
Continue along North Street to Cathedral and follow the road round to the right.
At mini roundabout take 1st exit A917 for Crail
Fairmont St Andrews is approximately 2.0 miles on the left.

Glasgow (Approximately 118.9 km / 73.9 miles)
Aberdeen (Approximately 135 km / 84 miles)
Transfer to Fairmont St Andrews is approximately 1 hour from Edinburgh or 2 hours and 15 minutes from Glasgow. It is possible to take the scenic route from Edinburgh Airport to St Andrews, driving through picturesque and charming fishing villages, but this adds approximately 30 minutes to the journey.
St Andrews is not on the train line. The nearest station is Leuchars on main line from London, Edinburgh and Aberdeen (20-minutes away from Fairmont St. Andrews). St Andrews may be reached by car, taxi or by bus from Leuchars. More information available from the concierge. Bus Approximately a 15-minute journey from the train station to St Andrews. 2 to 3 buses per hour between (9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. and less frequently at other times) Taxi: Approximate cost is £15.
The complimentary Shuttle Bus departs from the front door of Fairmont St Andrews at 7.00 a.m. and then hourly until 10.00 p.m.
