Overview
The Elysium enjoys uninterrupted views of the Mediterranean Sea and has been sensitively designed in a palatial style primarily influenced by the Byzantine era. The cultural references of its architecture evoke the rich history of Cyprus and combine elements from Greek, Roman, Medieval and Venetian times. A blend of local stone, marble and timber, warm muted colors and decorative features such as mosaics, arches and columns reflect the aims of the designers to create a sense of place and tradition where guests can enjoy a relaxing and stimulating holiday in a peaceful and secluded environment.

Romantic and Inspiring, but Needs a Strict Manager

I've stayed at this hotel only for one night, but after a long and timely research. Loved the hotel atmosphere and architecture, loved the room design and size, cleanliness and the general impression was nice. BUT: 1) the fact that at 10pm ALL dinner restaurants were closed and NOWHERE we could get any food (except for room service with basic choice of toasts & snacks and several poor hamburgers at the bar) was quite disappointing. If not ruining.
2) I had a feeling that a strong hand of an all-seeing all-knowing manager was missing.
3) The swimming pools & gardens are lovely, but the beach itself is quite small for such a big hotel, plus the scenery is plain. So if you do not plan to rent a car and dream to stay on the beach with gorgeous see-views, the beach might not quite satisfy you. On the whole the general impression is very nice. I will return back, definitely!

A fabulous and elegant hotel; from the porter bringing us refreshing drinks as we checked in to the Molton Brown products in the room, everything was excellent. Complimentary cakes, fruit and wine in the room were most welcome especially as the wine was damned good, I have since purchased several bottles.
Pool was cool at this time of year but once a couple of fine cocktails had been consumed at the pool bar it seemed much warmer!!
Only ate breakfast in the hotel but it was a real pleasure, excellent spread that missed out nothing and the jovial omlet maker was a real laugh - even with a terrible hangover!!
The hotel is a short taxi ride from Paphos Harbor (€8), and has a array of restaurants and bars within walking distance but these are not too close as to feel intrusive.
Only issue was the spa being fully booked, so if you fancy pampering yourself ring in advance.

Not Worth the Money

Bad service, room dirty and run down... You can find much better hotels in Cyprus for this money.
