Very Good Value for Money, Right in the City Cente

Beirut is a great place to visit and Le Meridien Commodore does reflect the city vibe quite well. It’s as centered as you can expect it to be, with loads of shops, cafés and bars literally at your door step. Houses 2 of the best restaurants in town – 1 Japanese and 1 Italian and the Spa in the Hotel is also superb, but the overall feeling still falls a bit short of the luxury you might expect from Le Meridien chain. For instance outdoor swimming pool is really small and the area around it should be kept better: my feet were stained black with dirt after taking just a few steps to and from the sun bed. Chamber-maids are also a bit confused, forgetting to replace used towels / drinks from the mini bar, giving us 1 pair of slippers for 2 people… but overall it IS a very good value for money.
