Overview
A triangular thumb wedged into the north end of the Red Sea, Egypt's Sinai Peninsula offers rugged and dramatic terrain. The endless, shifting dunes of the desert and the craggy granite peaks, along with miles of gorgeous beaches, coral reefs and shelves, give the Sinai Peninsula enormous diversity. Sinai is ancient and storied, a land of great beauty. Known to much of the world through its role in the Bible, it is the setting for the book of Exodus.
Located at the tip of Sinai, Sharm El Sheikh is now one of the world's most accessible resort destinations for snorkeling and scuba diving. In 1989, the Ras Mohamed National Park was established, both on shore and at sea, to preserve the area's unique ecosystems. Ninety metres (295 feet) of vertical reefs are home to an astonishingly abundant marine world, much of it unique to these waters, while the land-based park teems with exotic birds. Stayed There More Than 12 Times!

Yes I have stayed at the FS Sharm more than 12 times...it's a great getaway since Sharm is close to Kuwit( 2 hours). The resort is one of the greatest places I ever visited. So peaceful. The service is very good. The pool & the sea is great. Reef restaurant is open air and overlooks the beach. The rooms are huge. The spa is beyond expectation. The only thing missing is the site is not near Namaa Bay (10 minutes by taxi) where restaurants and coffee shops and shisha are.

Excellent accommodations but above all, flawless service - in every department. The Sinai Blues on-site diving operation was also first-rate. It's the only facility allowed to take divers directly off its pier to the dive sites. Visitors should note that the beach is very small and there is no direct water access because the reef runs to within a few feet of the shore. But 20-yard walk down the pier and you jump into a living aquarium. Unique! All in all, a very special property. Highly recommended.
