I Can't Believe There Are Lovers on the Bathroom D
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
This is a charming hotel with lovely furnishings. Our in-room breakfast was good. However, I never want to stay here again. The lack of sound proofing of the bathroom does not fit with my goal of a romantic weekend! I don't want to hear my partner in there, and I don't want him to hear me either! -Lisa, from Culver City, United States - 11/30/2009
Great With Exception of Room Service
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Room service was a mess. 30 mins later than promised, forgot items & was cold. Did not give us any sort of discount either! Other than that very nice. Rooftop patio/pool is fantastic! -Amber Doolittle, from Long Beach , United States - 10/22/2009

Room was comfortable, the neighborhood quiet yet convenient. Service was unobtrusive and efficient. One complaint - no local phone book in the room. -Henry Abrash , from Los Angeles, United States - 7/30/2009
Nice Attractive Hotel: Too Noisy: No Late Check Ou
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
The Canary Hotel is a very attractive and stylish hotel. The hotel staff were nice but really didn't care that I was woken up by the noise in the driveway people yakking and doors slamming(7 am). Not worth the money or the hassle of noise. I live in NYC area and this noise was louder than the city. -Jonathan Zins , from North Brunswick, United States - 7/20/2009

Best Hotel I Have Ever Stayed In!
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
This is the first time ever that I have booked a hotel and it was far more than I expected. The front desk staff was amazing! They knew you on sight and were always full of smiles and eager to help you with anything and everything. Not one amenity was missing. All of the comforts of home in a ultra luxury setting! -Christa Sakowski , from Carlsbad, United States - 4/30/2009
Review
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
The stay was nice and comfortable, amazing rooftop pool and view, very intimate & definitely a destination for a romantic setting. However, the staff wasn't exactly 5 stars. They didn't look very happy and their attention to detail wasn't as I expected. Other than that, I would give it another shot! -Mabel, from Santa Clarita, United States - 4/27/2009
Posh in Santa Barbara
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
This hotel is the best place to stay if you are heading to SB for a quick getaway. A modern take on the Mission style that permeates the town. The rooftop pool makes the hotel worth the price. Great views, nice staff, and steps to State street made this a great weekend. -Todd Lingle , from San Diego, United States - 4/25/2009
Lovely Hotel
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
We felt like the Canary Hotel was such a find. Perfect location off of State Street, not close to the pier/ocean but still easily walkable. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the rooms have these gorgeous 4 poster, huge beds, hardwood floors and lovely decorations all around. We enjoyed it much more than the larger 4-5 star resorts we usually stay in and the accommodations were certainly as nice. -Kristin Taylor , from san diego, United States - 4/24/2009
Claustrophobia
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
We were placed in an extremely claustrophobic room on the 2nd floor of the 6-floor hotel. Upon perusing the floor map, we surmised we had been given the smallest room in the hotel (even though the hotel was empty). We are not sure whether we irritated the desk clerk, or what - anyway, the rooms were claustrophobic - the roof deck is nice though. -Dan, from hillsborough, United States - 4/17/2009
Nice Hotel
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Our stay at the Canary was very good. The location is great for shopping, although it is a 20 minute walk from the beach. We were in the smallest room, but it was plenty big for two of us. The bed was very comfortable. All appointments were very nice. The pool on the roof was beautiful, however there were no attendants or clean towels. -Steven Snyder , from Silver Spring, United States - 4/13/2009

First Impressions Are Important
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Almost everything about this hotel was great except for the woman who answers the phone. This is the first impression one gets about a hotel and it's important. The first time we spoke I asked if there were robes in the room. She very sarcastically replied, "Of course." The second time I spoke to her was when my party was trying to find the hotel and we were lost. She wasn't interested in helping us and made it clear to all of us (via speaker phone). We were shocked at the attitude. -Norm Crakow, from Los Angeles, United States - 3/19/2009
Staff Needs More Training
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
I did not find the staff to be very attentive. With this economy I would think they would appreciate the business. When checking out they did not even ask if we had enjoyed the stay. Just charged $300 for one night and that was it. -Hedy, from Woodland Hills, United States - 3/13/2009

Cool Relaxed Vibe
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Loved the "Happy Hour" in the hotel bar. Great tini's made by Tommy, with infused fruit, fresh fish tacos, everything was perfect! Room service menu was very well done with selections that any LA girl would love! Location ideal for walking around State Street, great bedding, iTunes radio, candles, big screen T.V. This hotel rocks in a very quiet way! It's small and cozy with lots of style! -Debra Damari , from Los Angeles, United States - 2/25/2009
Inadequate
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
Despite the great location and being upgraded to a "Jr. Suite" (no view) we found living in the space to be a sub-par experience. There were huge television monitors, magazine and decorative objects that took up all the available counter space, so there was no place for luggage except the floor. But the the thing that bothered us the most and the real reason we won't return, were the louvered doors to the bathroom and toilet rooms. We're a very close couple, but not that close! -Gary, from Los Altos, United States - 2/20/2009
