Great Stay

Had a very satisfying stay. Needed to ask for our upgrade items three separate times to three separate people but it did work out in the end. The junior suite was quite nice, the breakfast delicious and the parking attendants very courteous. Would come back for sure.

Good Experience Spoiled

The hotel, it staff and amenities were excellent. However the stay had the detraction of a non-smoking room smelling of tobacco, and by a rip-off $28 charged for overnight parking.

The room was dusty. The bathroom was dirty. At checkout, there was a charge close to $200 for the minibar which we never used. They were obviously scamming us.

The pillow cases were worn and had holes, and after reporting this to the front desk, weren't replaced. The hotel was pleasant, the pool was fabulous. If I didn't have great expectations it would have been fine.

I was somewhat surprised when I had to question the front desk about the breakfast for two, which was included in my package promoted by Perfect Escapes. They did not see it on the reservation, they did credit my acct $30.00. I am glad that I had printed my reservation email from Perfect Escapes and had it with me during our stay!

This place is fantastic. Thanks to Perfect Escapes, we were upgraded to a Jr Suite, given late checkout and free in-room breakfast, all complimentary. The staff are ultra accommodating and professional. This was the best hotel experience I've ever had.

Not Luxury

This is a fine hotel for convenience, but it is not a good choice for a luxurious vacation or staycation. It was extremely crowded with many weddings taking place, and as a result, the service was rather poor. The pool was tiny and rather unattractive. The spa was undergoing change of ownership. Our room was comfortable but the view was lousy. The whole wheat pancakes off the breakfast menu were inedible. I was fooled by the name Fairmont Newport Beach. It is basically in Irvine and you wouldn't know there was a beach anywhere in sight. You had no choice but to valet park and it was about 30$ a day! Not deserving of ranking with the other truly first class hotels Perfect Escapes has to offer.

Luxurious Bed and Pillows; Free Parking for Hybri

The Fairmont had the most wonderful bed and the softest pillows I have ever slept on. Those sheets were so soft; not scratchy like some other hotels. Also, I appreciated the hotel's "helping the environment" policy by waiving the parking fee ($26.00) for hybrid vehicles. I would definitely book another stay.

Swimming Pool

Swimming pool is too small and too close to "party areas", here the noise was just too much. Also, during our stay there, the jacuzzi did not work, which was very disappointing ! The so-called "engineer" who was called said it was "not his job" to fix it! Incredible! We were NOT happy about that!

I booked the Bed & Breakfast package which Perfect Escapes. The welcome amenity hotel provided was greatly disappointing, but the staff at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating and we had a pleasant stay. Wasn't too loud, considering John Wayne airport was relatively close. Good distance to beaches and shopping centers, but beware because everything in that area closes early, even on weekends.
