Beautiful Room, Other Facilities Limited

Stayed here for 5 nights. Had to ask for room to be changed as we were allocated a disabled room on the smoking floor. The room was changed very quickly & the new room was lovely. Beds very comfortable, bathroom beautiful.
There were a couple of things which detracted from our stay. There is no private lounge or bar for residents and the public bar, although very nice is more of a place to see & be seen, rather than somewhere to go & relax. After a full day's sightseeing it didn't provide the relaxation we were looking for. We arrived on a Saturday to find both the bar & restaurant booked out for private functions so there was nothing available for hotel guests - very disappointing. And on Sunday all the bars were closed!
The rooms were lovely but with absolutely no soundproofing - we were woken up by next door's alarm one morning and had to complain about somebody else's music one day.
Location, price & rooms very good but the lack of facilities were disappointing. -Paula Cohen , from Northwich, England - 4/21/2008
