Amazing Stay - True Royal Service

Our stay at the Playa Conchal was amazing. Booking through PE definitely had its benefits. We checked in early and we did get an upgrade to a very large suite with a Jacuzzi (it is worth mentioning that we had originally booked a ocean front suite in Royal Service). From the moment we stepped foot in the door, they rolled out the red carpet for us. The staff was super friendly and attentive all around. Our personal butler was incredible. He truly made our experience memorable and extraordinary from chocolate covered strawberries to champagne to rose pedals on the bed to candles in the room, you mention it and we got it. Honestly, we have stayed at the Ritz, Four Season's and Mandarin Oriental around the world and this service was as good or even better. My only negative is that the Gabi Club is not exclusive to Royal Service guests as promised. Opening the club to the other hotel guests is a bit of a turn off when you are a Royal Service guest. The beach and Private RS pool were great

We just recently returned from a 7 day stay at the Paradisus Playa Conchal and without question we rate our experience at 5. Using Perfect Escapes as our travel planner was an added plus. As advertised, we got all the extras i.e. room upgrade, early check in and $50 hotel credit. The Royal Service was without question true "royal service". Our butler made our experience super special. Each night we received champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. Turndown service was also a delight. Some nights we would find the entire room covered in lit candles, rose pedals all over the bed spread and beautiful and romantic designs made with towels i.e. swans and elephants kissing, etc. The Jacuzzi was also beautifully prepared every time we requested it. The pool area was magnificent and very private as it is exclusive for Royal Service guests. Our butler also took us to a side of the beach that was simply gorgeous and very quiet. We loved it. Royal service is all about service...

Perfect Escapes was WONDERFUL!!! The prices available through PE were less than half of the "other guys." When we checked in they upgraded us to the Presidential Suite because we booked through PE. That's the good news! The bad news is that the AC broke on our second day and they never fixed it. They sent someone to work on the problem. He came while we were in the room and he left without saying a word. I had to keep calling the front desk, and for the next 3 days they assured me it was being "taken care of." We paid for the Royal Service which was a joke!! The only request that we had for our butler was to put champagne in our room on our anniversary. He never showed up! We also came to the realization that there is no need for menus at this resort. No matter what you order, they will somehow mess it up and bring you something totally different. I ordered a steak and got fish, I ordered a Sprite and got Diet Coke, ordered scallops and got shrimp...3 TIMES during the same meal!!

From Daniel Oduber Airport in Liberia, take Road 21 toward Santa Cruz and turn right at Belen (25 min). From Belen, follow the signs to Hotel Melia Playa Conchal, approx 35 min. (total time 1 hour.)
- TNO- Tamarindo Regional Airport
From Tamarindo Regional Airport, follow signs to Huacas Town (15 min). Turn left in Huacas and follow the signs to Hotel Melia Playa Conchal or Brasilito Town, 5 min. (total time 20 min.)
SJO- Juan Santamaria Airport
From Santamaria International Airport in San Jose, take the Interamerican Highway toward Liberia (approx 3 hours). From Liberia, take Road 21 toward Santa Cruz and turn right at Belen, approx 25 min. From Belen, follow the signs to Hotel Melia Playa Conchal.
