Wonderful for Couples

We were here for our 20-year high school reunion and it was perfect. Our room was nice. We paid less for the street view, but didn't mind at all. Most comfortable beds ever! Staff was nice and helpful and room service was yummy. We docked a small boat here and also enjoyed the pool. It was a great experience overall and I hope to stay there again soon. -Suzy, from Ramona, United States - 10/1/2009
It Was Great

Yes it was. -Guy Tomlinson, from Tahoe city, United States - 9/21/2009
Average
 | | Overall rating: | | Value rating : | |
This hotel was squarely in the range of what I would call average, particularly for the price. The hotel's restaurant views of the harbor were nice, but screaming kids around the pool, so-so room assignment, and expensive price tag for average food suggest that a better value might be found elsewhere. -Kari, from La Canada, United States - 9/10/2009

Unfortunately we only stayed 2 nights here, but next time it will be for longer. Absolutely lovely, extremely comfortable room, the most comfortable bed; fabulous breakfast on the terrace--we definitely will be back! -Risa Grime , from Calgary, Canada - 5/29/2009
Great Stay At The Balboa Bay Club

The Balboa Bay Club has beautiful, spacious rooms with incredibly comfortable beds. My kids loved the small private beach and pool. Service was professional and prompt. -Paul, from Palo Alto, United States - 3/31/2009

The hotel service was excellent. If you are looking for a nice relaxing place the Balboa resort is the place. The resort as a whole was a very clean place. I would refer this resort to others. My wife and I had a wonderful time at the resort. -John, from Riverside, United States - 9/8/2008
Nice Enough but I Would Not Return

This was my second visit to this property. Spa and dining experiences were first rate. Staff provided inconsistent service; some wonderful individuals providing exceptional service and a few very negative interactions with rude employees. BBC did not accommodate any of the Perfect Escape benefits- complimentary room upgrade, 4pm late check-out, and 12pm early check-in, were all unavailable. Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel or the Surf & Sand Resort are better business/ leisure options. -Roberta-Lynn, from Lake Tahoe, United States - 7/18/2008

Room was very nice but didn't get any upgrades. Also had to pay just to park there, huh? Wouldn't go there again. -Rick Simmons , from RIVERSIDE, United States - 6/25/2008

Pretty much perfect from the moment we arrived. We got upgraded to a bay view room, gorgeous. Huge deluxe bathroom, great big room, view lovely. Everything else was what you'd expect and be prepared to spend a lot on tips too as there's a LOT of staff to feed ! -Chris Farley , from Bournemouth, England - 1/28/2008
