Like an island within an island, this is La Banane.
A hotel filled with charm, set amid a sumptuous tropical garden bursting with poinciana, hibiscus, frangipani, jasmine and bougainvillea. A secret hotel, just a few metres away from Lorient bay - a great curve of white sand that is home to surfers, people strolling along and simple lovers of peace and quiet.
La Banane. A smile-shaped name. A location in a million. The totally refurbished hotel features contemporary and local architecture. Pure lines, precious essences, refined fabrics, elegant harmonious and restful tones, subtly spiced with Creole colours, each detail combining to create a unique atmosphere where every sense is pampered and cosseted. More than an island, the hotel is an archipelago of nine independent suites, scattered around the main building. Each has its own private terrace. Nine pavilions with delicious names: Watermelon, Lychee, Pineapple, Grape, Kiwi, Pomegranate, Fig, Lime and Coconut.
To make your stay a pleasant one, we have only kept the best that civilisation has to offer: TV, DVD (a video DVD library is available), CD player, telephone, air-conditioning, mini-bar, comfortable bedding and silent fans.
The bathrooms open out on to patios or private gardens so that taking a shower becomes a perfumed ritual in paradise found.
La Banane offers its guests:
