A Mini Paradise....

The Sivory is a little gem in the D.R. The grounds are lush with palm trees and many mature tropical plantings. The beach, is amazing! Soft sand and palm trees with Tiki huts. The waves are quite big, so swimming is not really recommended, but walking and soaking up the sun is! The spa is very small, although suiting our purposes perfectly. The hot tub was nice and warm and so was the spa pool. The setting is Zen like, very peaceful. Make spa arrangements before you go, if it's high season. Food was good to very good. Interesting Caribbean flavors. The food plan is worth it especially if you are traveling with teenagers. Not much to do, so if you want pure rejuvenation, this is the place to go. We did think it was a bit over priced and I do not recommend the plunge pool room-water was too cold and it never got warm. The deluxe room was delightful with 2 sofas and 2 built in lounge chairs outside on a covered porch. The people really, really made the experience wonderful- they were warm

We’re a very well traveled couple that have stayed literally in the most luxuries properties in the Caribbean.
The Sivory Resort in Punta Cana was probably OUR WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.
This resort which is part of Small Luxury Hotels was a gross misrepresentation of the beach, dining and our room.
The beach on the website and the brochure shows white sandy beaches with calm turquoise water, instead we were disappointed to find an ecological disaster.
Floating all kind of garbage, medial waste, plastic containers and all kinds of old construction waste.
The white beaches on the website were nowhere to be found, instead we found brown muddy beach. The ocean was very rough with currents that stir up mud, needless to say dangerous. We stroll on the beach for a mile long and there was no sign of any seashell, broken chorals or seaweed, sign of ecological disaster. This made us decided not to enter the water anymore.
