The basics are not far short of excellent, the rooms are spacious and are split between the Kinabalu and Tanjung wings and are appropriately slanted to a tropical theme, the views extend out to sea or up to Mount Kinabalu. With an excellent choice of activities ranging from tennis, golf, water sports, rock climbing, jungle trekking, all age groups should be fully occupied. Or just laze by the two free form pools. On the food side there are six to choose from ranging from Malay, Chinese, Peppino's the Italian restaurant and the sun set bar. An excellent choice for long or short stays is the Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Resort.

Transportation:
AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION- THE HOTEL OFFERS PRIVATE CAR SERVICE WITH PRIOR RESERVATIONS. THE COST IS APPROXIMATELY 80 MYR PER CAR/ONE WAY FROM 6AM - 11PM AND 120 MYR PER CAR/ONE WAY FROM 11PM - 6AM. . TAXI SERVICE IS READILY AVAILABLE AND THE COST IS APPROXIMATELY 15 MYR/ONE WAY. . LOCAL TRANSPORTATION- SHUTTLE SERVICE BETWEEN THE RESORT AND MAJOR SHOPPING CENTRES IS AVAILABLE FREE OF CHARGE.
