Most Amazing Romantic Vacation

This hotel is one of a kind. My husband and I have both traveled extensively all over the world, yet we had never had this sweet combination of class, privacy, nature, art, view, fabulous food, comfort, and excellent friendly service anywhere else. You can feel comfortable in your shorts or in your elegant evening wear, and staff treat you like you are the only one in the hotel.
I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to rekindle their romance or for a honeymoon. The two-person tub is the best tub I have ever soaked in (yes, of course they have a separate full size shower, too). The little details such as soothing romantic CD's, tea candles, robes, full size tea pot with great selection of tea really made our stay romantic. Then, of course, there is their world famous restaurant! We were teased into the culinary heaven with the complimentary afternoon tea (scones and the lemon tart were truly fabulous), and even with our highest expectation for the dinner. -Sayaka, from San Diego, United States - 8/13/2008

The room was lovely and the service was attentive and professional. The dinners were good but seemed expensive and not too inspired. -Donald Bertoncin , from Seattle, United States - 8/4/2008
Hastings House Review

A very beautiful and romantic getaway, perfect for anyone looking to remove themselves from "the real world". Beautiful surroundings, almost perfect accommodations, absolutely amazing food (fresh and organic), great service (personal name cards provide a special touch), limited size (only 18 rooms) and easy to find; all make this a great location for any occasion. We especially enjoyed our 3 years late honeymoon here.
Unfortunately, there is always a downside. Though I must note, please do not cancel your reservations due to these comments. All and all the place is wonderful and worth a visit. First, since I have much experience in interior finishings, I felt as though some corners were crossed in the finishing of the rooms. They could have been more professionally finished. Secondly, though I am sure this does not happen regularly, during my massage, I felt as though I was just another number; the next cow in the chute (pardon the expression).
Please enjoy the Hastings House -Christoph, from Edmonton, Canada - 6/2/2008
