I seek out hotels around the world that capture the essence of a bygone era; The Royal Hawaiian, having been beautifully refurbished, takes us back to the elegance, style and romance of the 20's and 30's. The presence of Newts at the Royal is symbolic of all that this Grand Dame stands for in this fast, often unattractive plastic world. I appreciated the generous, warm service and the sensuous ambiance of this gracious hotel.
I will return.
