Comfortable Stay

The room I stayed was not that spacious, but comfortable and very relaxing. The only thing I noticed was the dust on TV and some other stuff (coffee machine, lamp shade and so on). If it had been clean, I would have been more satisfied.
Besides that everything else was great. Friendly staff, nice concierge, enough facilities, nice location. I'd like to stay there again!

Elevator Problem

My only issue is lack of elevators - only 2 elevators for an 18 story building results in a long wait.

Attention to Detail

In my opinion, what separates good hotels from great hotels is the attention to details. The Metropolitan excelled in this area - from putting in fresh linens after we had showered and went out that evening, placing a 'weather for tomorrow" card on our bedside table, to a complimentary ride to our evening event by the Concierge as the hotel was "not busy at the moment". This hotel was better than the Fairmont, Pan Pacific, and Four Seasons. Congratulations to the "Met" and its staff.

Great hotel in a great location in a great city. Wonderful staff. Great rooms - good size with little balcony. Super restaurant. Close to a lot of shopping and dining. Close to public transport and trains. Highly recommended.

We Will Come Back Again!

My partner knew other Metropolitan hotel in different cities in Canada and this one was as good as the others. Service was perfect and also the king size bed was very comfortable. We just had to ask for a second bathrobe and in a short time it was delivered. Breakfast in room was as good as expected.

The hotel is central, clean, and comfortable. The desk and concierge staff are beyond reproach. On the other hand, during my stay I once ordered room service and the kitchen did not get back to me, and on another the restaurant would not serve us when we arrived 25 minutes before it closed. When I mentioned this to the front desk they went out of their way to make it right.
I can wholeheartedly recommend the hotel to anyone who is travelling to Vancouver and I intend to stay there myself again. I am sure that the restaurant is quite fine during regular meal times but for anything outside of that I am less sure.
