Great Hotel

One of the nicest hotels I've stayed in and I have stayed in many world class hotels throughout the world. The personnel treat you like you are their best friends. I will definitely be staying there again, in fact would make a special trip just to stay there.

Old World Done the Old Way

Stayed for one night but will love this hotel forever. I was treated like royalty. Alert, attentive staff and decor that transports you to the romantic vision the heart cries for. I almost felt guilty being treated like I was a real someone. These folks were genuine in their graciousness and concern for my visit. When laying out the slippers and robes there were positioned as if myself and my friend were sharing the same bed. That was a little unsettling but a fun story to tell family and friends. Special, charming and an old world feel that hugs you as you wind your way to your next discovery. P.S. even spotted Lindsay Lohan leaving the hotel Sunday morning early. Not looking her best, though no fault of the Saint James I'm sure.

My Favourite Hotel in Canada

Hotel Le St. James is now my favorite Canadian hotel. The Fairmont in Calgary used to be my favorite, but Le St. James has a certain Je ne sais quois that put it on the top. The service is impeccable, the decor is luxurious yet homely, and the food is excellent. It is an intimate hotel, and I loved every moment of my stay. My wife also fell in love with the place.

Solid, Quiet and Delicious Luxury in Old Montreal

This is a small hotel that is serious about outstanding meals, and unobtrusive and excellent service. The room I had was spacious, quiet, beautifully appointed and restful. And the staff were perfect - friendly, knowledgeable without gushing, and very willing to accommodate someone who prefers to speak English. I did wish though that there was a central "sitting and reading" area for all guests, and a pool. But instead there is the proximity of the wonderful old areas of Old Montreal, shops and restaurants, and old Quebec stone buildings and the uptown, newer city with galleries and shops close by as well. I'll definitely return as it was two days of heaven.
